Why do self-trackers build their own aggregator solutions?

I added some more data sources and cleaned up your list @thefedoration. I propose we define what a data aggregator is so we can exclude the multitude of habit trackers out there.

Proposed Definition
A data aggregator app:

  1. Automatically accesses data
  2. From multiple data sources
  3. And unifies them in some way, such as dashboard or statistical analysis.
