Calculating Calorie Expenditure for Weight Loss

Hi guys,

I am a Type-1 Diabetic woman admiring fitness and sports. I have been involved in the intense workout sessions for the last 4-5 years. However, since last 2-3 months, I am starting to gain a lot of weight because of my unhealthy diet.

I wish to lose some weight by strictly following a calculated diet and track my calorie expenditure. Can you guys suggest me some good weight to help out.


Carefully tracking your eating habits can be a good exercise, but counting calories to lose weight can be counterproductive (reducing fat in a meal can lead to larger blood sugar spikes, for example). If you haven’t done so already, I suggest finding a nutritionist (RDN) who specializes on diabetes (CDE)!
