Feedback Needed for New iOS Self-Tracking App

Hi All,

My name is Marilyn Rogers, and I’m new to this forum. I’m looking forward to reading your posts.

This week, we at LightArrow Inc., released a new app for self-tracking and goal setting. If you’re not familiar with LightArrow, we’re the makers of LifeTopix and My.Agenda.

We would love to receive feedback about My.Self from those who are interested in the benefits of self tracking.

My.Self is a flexible app. It allows you to create goals and track steps to accomplish your goals with custom metrics, tasks and more. You can log exercise, activities, nutrition, health stats, wellness, medication or just about anything else. My.Self’s power is in its versatility.

My.Self is an affordable paid app (US $1.99). If you’re interested in providing feedback, please contact us to get a promo code to receive the app for free. Just send a short note through our contact form at http://lightarrow.com/about/contact (don’t worry, we won’t spam you or share your information).

You can find the app at:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-self/id757212884

Thanks so much in advance if you’re willing to provide us with feedback. You can send feedback here; directly to us from our website http://www.lightarrow.com (we welcome open feedback about all of our apps); via Twitter (@lightarrowinc); or via Facebook(https://www.facebook.com/LightArrowInc).

Cheers

Looks nice! Do you have documentation/samples for your CSV format?

Thanks so much for your feedback. Yes, our apps include full documentation. The following is an excerpt.

EXPORTING TO CSV

You can export your activity, nutrition, health stats, medication, goal log item and wellness logs to CSV files allowing you to further analyze and print from your favorite spreadsheet or charting program.

To export to CSV:

  1. Locate the appropriate log item by tapping the Goals, Activities, Nutrition, Health Status, Medication or Wellness tiles.
  2. Tap the log item that you wish to export data from and then tap Configure.
  3. Tap Export.
  4. This process generates an email message with an attached CSV file.
  5. Send this email message to yourself or a different recipient.
  6. The file can be opened or saved via the email message.

I’m attaching a sample of an exported activity log.

Cheers!

It appears that I’m unable to attach a csv via the forum, but the format appears like the following (I only copied a few lines from the spreadsheet).

Log Item Name Log Topic Name Log Entry Log Comment Log Time

Cycling Activity Log 13.5 4/28/14 12:29

Cycling Activity Log 11 4/27/14 12:28

Cycling Activity Log 15 4/25/14 14:24

Cycling Activity Log 11 4/19/14 14:22

Cycling Activity Log 15 4/17/14 10:42

Cycling Activity Log 10 4/13/14 14:03

Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks, looks simple enough, just two questions:

  1. units?
  2. timezone?

Good points - I’ll request that those values are added.
