Ketogenic diet for women

Hello, I’m wondering about other women’s experience on a ketogenic diet.

I’ve done keto in the past, and felt great, but have recently read a couple papers warning that keto can be dangerous during pregnancy and might otherwise interfere with female hormonal regulation. Has anyone experienced this?

I have been doing keto for the past 6 years. This was the best lifestyle change based on my doctor’s feedback (overall health from my blood results). I cannot speak about pregnancy but I can definitely say that my hormones became much more balanced after switching to this diet.

Wow, cool. When you say your hormones became more balanced, which hormones improved? (Estradiol & Progesterone? Thyroid? Cortisol?) Do you follow strict keto, or monitor your ketones?
