Quantified self & increased activity

Hi all!

I’m working on improving my physique and I don’t want to leave no stone unturned in the process. My goal is to be more active and exercise more on a weekly basis and create a lasting habit of this.

Have people here found quantified self useful in this regard? Has tracking data (with the help of wearable technology?) motivated you and helped you to create positive habits? Do tell if not!

I know from experience that continuously monitoring my weight helps me “keep my eyes on the price” and I’m in less of a risk to eat junk food or sweets. Next I’d like to take it a bit further and would love to hear from people here!
