Am kind of new to the field. Does anyone know if there are censors out there that can measure how focused someone is working? For example, just browsing the web, reading the news, answering regular emails requires a different focus that tackling a problem, having to write a memo, answering “harder” emails?. Are there any censors out there that can measure this difference in focus/concentration/attention that one needs to accomplish a task.
This is a bit of a broad question. But I look at two things.
**1. RescueTime. ** https://www.rescuetime.com/
This is a windows application that tracks what application i’m using and for how long. This allow me to see how long I’m spending working on productive work and unproductive work. I’m planning on trying to connect this to how much I attactly do i.e. how many clicks I do and leangth of time I go before going into application that are unproductive.
2. Pomadora techinic
I use this: http://www.focusboosterapp.com/ then I do my work in 25min chunk. Each time I manage 25 minutes with distraction I count it as a success and then tally the successes per day.
