Over the last year, we’ve been working on the launch of a new nonprofit organization called Article 27, whose mission is to advance the human right to participate in science. Inspired by the achievements of the Quantified Self community, we want to do what we can to help everybody trying to learn about themselves using empirical methods.
This is a fantastic development and area of effort - another reason I’m proud to be even a bit of the community of QS. I read this article today, and wondered where the group is on the topic of “data inheritance” or assignment of rights to data following death. https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2019-04/uoo-tdm042619.php
That’s a great question, and not one that I’ve personally thought very much about. I can easily imagine this data being prized by people who are close to the person who collected it.
