Tracking food by time?

I’m enjoying Apple’s Healthkit for tracking some basic health stats, and I’m also using Reporter for mood.

I’d like to track when I eat what, so I can correlate mood against certain foods or what time of day I eat.

However, it seems like the bigger food-tracking apps (myfitnesspal, fatsecret) just post everything to healthkit as 00:00, without including time information.

What do other people do to track time-of-day eating?

Can this be of help in improvising weight naturally? I do have fixed timings for my meals but it never helped me much.
